Suellen, thank you for your kind words. As we know, this particular project was way more than just a development. This was about finding a way to keep an asset in and for the extended family to continue to enjoy into the future, like it had for a long time previously. In order to do that we had some serious "negotiation" and navigation of the ever present applicable council/heritage policies that I know many others have experienced similar frustration trying to get past. Am so glad that I was able to help you all with successfully resolving a solution for the situation you had been struggling with for so long. But you didn't give up and eventually we connected and things started to turn around. Understanding the significance and sentiment of this particular property and project to you and the other family involved, that I was able to help guide you through the process to a clearly successful and happy result, beyond anything else, for me is ultimately at the heart of what I do and why I do it :)

It was a sincere pleasure assisting you and your family with your project and a particularly interesting one in negotiating the balance of detail between the traditional and contemporary aspects in a relatively small/tight scale. As you referred to, the Budget is an inevitable factor to address/manage and I think we were able to successfully capitalise on the opportunity to significantly upgrade your living environment/asset and maximise the value/outcome for the investment. :)

I don't regularly get the opportunity (& honour!) of doing a 2nd project with a residential client, since it's generally a long term investment (the aim of which is to get it right the first time round ;) ) But every now and then for whatever reason, the chance to "do it all again" but "step it up" so to speak comes around. This was a classic example of that and I particularly cherish these situations where we can leverage off the previously established working relationship to maximum advantage to effectively work though the process with seasoned clients and achieve awesome results. Absolutely loved working with you, delighted to have been able to assist on more than one occasion, and thank you sincerely for your kind words :)

In my opinion the success of your particular project comes down to the fact that you made the most sensible first move, in that you actively sought and invested in professional advice as early as possible in the preliminary/conceptual stages of your critical decision making. I've been pulled into so many situations to resolve a solution for people who are off the bat dealing with arguably/fundamentally a less than ideally suited property they have bought (and in some cases made worse by having fired ahead with some further work to it!), and in hindsight wishing they had called me earlier. In contrast however I have been (somewhat unusually) fortunate on a couple of particular occasions (such as your project), to have been put in what I would consider the best professional position possible and that is to be able to have provided advice early enough in the process, before an actual property purchasing decision has occurred, which consequently led to the most important decisions being nailed. In your case this enabled you to be so much further ahead and appropriately informed/tuned into what particular aspects were important for the particular lifestyle/living environment you were seeking. As you know now it's ultimately all about your decision making and priorities. Am so glad I was able to help provide this clarity for you :)
