It's pretty hard to see from that picture , but it looks like grooved then painted doors . Being a a wardrobe , I'm assuming they are 'hollow' with that honeycomb in the middle , so as to be relatively light , then the outers would be a veneer , maybe 3mm thick with 1mm grooves , over a few centimetres of ply or similar , for strength .
Its possible they are metallic ( sort of like that ACL -- aluminum covered laminate ) with a powder coat , but I suspect they are more likely wood derived .
I think you may be right...the VJ paneling is probably too thick (and heavy) for doors...whereas the Polytec panels are made for this purpose. I appreciate the heads-up...anybody else who is interested - this is link to calcutta range...polytec Calcutta
