Hi Sangam, a new to you house, or was something wrong with the previous layout? How best to proceed depends on several factors. Firstly how do you use the room - lots of entertaining, just you, a family with littlies and teenagers or some other dynamic? For the best results, unless you’re setting up to sell, choose function (practicality) first, then form (looks). Set out your furniture so you have an easy path, for two, in and out of the room. It’s not a huge room, so choose items than are slimmer (but still comfortable) rather than the oversized look. Also you want items that are multifunctional e.g. drawers in your coffee table or a bench seat for guests that your cushions and blankets sit on. Next search in Houzz for living room photos and decide what style appeals. As your living room abuts your outdoor area and dining room, try to have a complimentary ‘feel’ for all areas which will extend to your kitchen etc. There is a 65/20/10/5 guide for novice decorators that always helps me - 65% is the main colour or main shape/style, 20% is the main complimentary colour/shape/style, 10% a third colour/etc and always include a couple of outliers (a vintage piece in a modern setting, a touch of purple in a pale blue, off white and timber room, a Sputnik design lamp in a room with oval and circular furniture for instance). And two last tips, take your time. Purchase, or reuse, your major item/s but everything else can wait. Also, there is no substitute for seeing items in situ, so check return policies. Houzz is a great resource, full of lovely friendly people, but more specific questions might help
