i Like the room too but dispatch the white cushion in favour of a softer neutral. Pick your favorite coulour in the room and make a feature, say on the coffee table or bench, to draw your focus from the couches. I like the blue stools, repeating that colour could work

Large cotton throws - just cover it (or most of it - you might find it a lot easier with just a few small bits of pinks poking out at the ends). Throws will also preserve the suede for the duration of your stay. You can always make do with folded sheets until you find the throw you like . . .

The colour is perfect for that room. I know pink isn't everyone's 'cup of tea' but it does look great in the photo.

Head to the markets and get a couple of sarongs or table cloths

Personally I like the lounge, but I would tie it in with navy blue and some patterned green cushions, try matching something to those stools and the lights I would change the flowers in the background to green too, as too much pink drawing to the lounge, but personal choice of course. Throws are a great idea. You're certainly in a beautiful part of the world.

I was also thinking a grey throw or cushions with navy or green to tone it down.

I love it, and I love the colour for that environment. It's a close match for my lounge suite, which is currently upholstered in vermillion, by the way. But you're living there, so a large, lovely neutral (oatmeal?) throw for the couch and cushions repeating that colour on the chairs would break up the mass of it for you.

I would bring in deeper pink tones... deep magenta, fuschia. Like in a big ginger plant.

From first look it is a bit too much contrast with the grey/pink theme and the beautiful painting, lights etc are not quite enough. I would get three pots, very large, medium & small in aged mustardy yellow or aqua. Big glossy green plants in them with the smallest on the coffee table having something softer like maidenhair.

The flowers on the side table would move to another spot, dining table, bedroom, bathroom or kitchen. Medium squat aqua pot here instead with strappy green leaves and a beautiful mirror above or behind it.

Firstly...be grateful it does not still have a plastic cover on it that can't be taken off. If you don't like it, put it in storage (well wrapped/covered) and go and get one you do like. There are some rubbish furniture makers and then there are some top designers/manufacturers all over the island (or go to Lombok and look, you may find something better still). Check the expat newsletters for who is leaving town. There will be heaps for sale there.

Why don't you see if you can have the suede re-dyed.
