I think the golds in your frames and other wall hanging would go very nicely with the red JudyG posted. You might start with just a couple of walls as it's going to be quite dark. I painted part of my bedroom a similar color--it was the color of canned chili, and my husband thought it was too dark so I changed it. I think your furniture would look wonderful with that. And with paint color, I told my husband that I'm not done with the bedroom until I say 'I LOVE IT!' You should do the same--you want to love looking at your living room.

Hi analisa86 checked out your previous thread and it seems as though you'll be using this room just for adult time as the rumpus room is right next door. Your sofa-chair-ottoman arrangement is pretty formal, and your sectional layout way less so. If your adult time is sit up conversation drinking wine then your first plan would work best for you. If your adult time is blog out recovery on the sofa watching movies then your sectional would work best. Not in Sydney so can't advise stores!

Would go a classic navy and cream , with rich gold accents, like this pic but reverse the wall colour and lounge colour, and with your English lounge choice and decor, it would look refined and classy. The navy would go well with your grey/taupe carpet and the walls, and your window design would lend well to the old Victorian/English style. Just one idea to consider :)

Why not? I just moved into a new house, and what used to be my bedroom suite (dresser, tallboy, bed and night tables) is now split between three rooms, a dining room sideboard has become a dresser, and what used to be a bookcase in the study in the previous house has resumed duty as a buffet and hutch in the new dining area. Oh, and thanks to new legs, a small, cafe -style kitchen table is now a coffee table in the lounge. Furniture is pretty flexible; sometimes, our ideas about furniture are not.
