My understanding of French Provincial is that it uses lighter, fresher colours as a base, so I would suggest neutral decorative cushions in white and/or cream which are textured or patterned. I think blue is also a common accent colour for French Provincial, but I'm not sure how a lighter blue (e.g. teal) or a darker blue (e.g. French blue) would work with the charcoal of the sofa. I would suggest heading to a home decorating store with a no questions asked refund policy and just grabbing everything that you like the look of and trying them out at home. A large throw in a neutral colour may also help in lightening up the sofa.

Love the sofas - nice midcentury style with the angled legs, great colour too! If it were me? 1)Big colour art work on wall 2)Chrome lamp (arc) in corner that adds height but also provides a sort of "canopy" to frame the sofas and link the space 3) Floor rug - sisal? Textured? Perhaps a lighter tone/neutral to offset the navy and timber floors? - I love putting a larger sisal area rug under everything to link the space and group the furniture. Then I add a more textured/soft rug to add layers, textures and interest. The larger rug acts like a picture frame for the elements in your living area. 4) Coffee table - maybe round so little ones don't get hurt? Also provides movement and contrast against the straight lines and angles and ties in with the arc lamp. 5) finally, pillows and throws in chosen contrasting/ pop colour. Take that from your artwork! 6) clock in kitchen. Doesn't match midcentury design of sofas, but thats just me!

I see what you mean with the mirror, maybe a large light canvas artwork would be more suitable using the command hooks, I think if you pick up the blue in your rug you can choose another rug to go in couch area, you don’t need to match it pattern wise, looks beautiful to have different rugs in similar toning maybe think about the lamps also with your little one , don’t want to topple over onto them, maybe artwork, luxury cushions and throws and plants in a low heavy pot that won’t tip over could look beautiful until you feel safe to add them, love your furniture.
