Hey annemarie, thanks for the visual. Firstly, I think the pale olive trims complement the vanity unit in a way I don't think the black, grey or white could. The vanity doors and basin are subtly highlighted and it produces a very calming, aesthetically pleasing showpiece. The olive colour helps make the vanity doors and basin the standout features of this particular model - the reason you were attracted to it in the first place. Secondly, I think the colour palette works well with the Moroccan tiles you have chosen. The darker trim contained within each tile piece helps with the fusion. Do not interfere with the integrity of the vanity unit. It looks great as. Overall, you get a fantastic vanity unit - you have chosen well.

OK, no wonder the photo looked weird. The kitchen supplier would be able to do the whole thing for you, so you don't have to try to match anything and the hole for the basin could be cut into the bench top anywhere you want it. The only problem is the plumbing, the cheapest way to relocate that is by extending any pipes and that takes internal space from your vanity. Glad you have lived with the semi-recessed sink, I've heard many others complain. Have you checked out basins though - there is a good range of sizes and shapes now. I bought an off the shelf-vanity-for my main bathroom, but it was still made up fresh for me so I had the option of the colour, bench top colour, size and style of the basin and where I wanted it for no extra charge - have you double checked on that? Check out Laminex's range online and phone them for samples - they are very happy to do this. I went back to Laminex to save money on my kitchen reno and used the Diamond Gloss Polar White. It always looks stunning and I really love it now. Have you also checked the existing vanity will come out ok without damage to the wall tiles? Also is the floor tiled under the vanity - that will present problems for you if it has not been done. Theoretically it should be, just depends on whether corners may have been cut. En-suite layout is fine, Looks like you have a double hung window with a slightly lower sill to the vanity height. . I’d put a stool in front next to shower screen. Update vanity and top and splash back, maybe lowering mirror. Could put a niche in the side wall if want extra storage. Could change mirror to a cabinet, even if it protrudes, mine does, A smaller basin would increase spaciousness and bench space. Can also increase depth of vanity, to 550. Replace floor tiles if you want but I’d leave shower if you want to keep costs down. otherwise retile to full wall height will improve look. Could add a pendant light over left side of vanity

Why wouldn't you put a decorative tray with decorative items to match under the makeup mirror? Lots of choices and it could include jars for makeup brushes, perfume, etc so it is useful too. You need to make it look deliberate - not an added after thought - or that you could not afford another basin!
