In both your suggestions I would need to alter or close in the window as it is a large window that sits above the bath. Do you think this would be a costly exercise? The house is brick veneer. Also love the idea of a sky light! @Kate @siriuskey I didn't realise you could have a door to angle like you have drawn. This seems like a great idea :-) @oklouise Thanks for your suggestion and def worth investigating. The house is steel framed so not sure if possible to recess the sink in the toilet room, but will check it out. This is the current layout for your info. The door only just clears the shower screen.

Amazing feedback! Here are my ideas. Its a small space, 5x4.5m combined living/dining. I'm going with a koala sofa bed, to make use of it as a guest bed as well. It's a plain, simple sofa. Two options: light grey or light sage green. The light grey is between a light brown/grey and is very simple and plain. The sage green looks more like a 'sofa'. As for the vibe, I really love the black metal, adding a touch of industrial but not sure if it's right for this space? So I've played with some ideas below, combining neutrals and industrial. Pic Marked A: Grey sofa, combination of neutral wood and splashes of black metal (floor lamp, coffee table, wall pictures. Pic Marked B: Grey sofa, mostly neutral, splash of black and white on wall and will add a black metal shelf on opposite brick wall Pic Marked E: Green sofa, mostly neutral with lots of wood, neutral wall pictures Pic unmarked: Green sofa, grey bean bag chairs, mostly industrial with lots of black metal. Too much? Pic unmarked: Green sofa, grey bean bag chairs, combination of neutrals and black metal. Pic unmarked: Green sofa, grey bean bag chairs, combination but swapped the floor lamp for metal one, coffee table to wood and wall hangings to neutral. Pic unmarked: Combination again, lighter cushions, back to the armchairs. I think the photos uploaded from bottom to top! Please disregard the size, the way I've put the images together - this took ages on my phone! It's more to get a feel of placement and materials. Would love to know thoughts on the grey or green sofa, colour cushions, floor lamp, coffee table, armchairs/bean bag chairs, dining suite, wall hangings etc. The armchairs aren't actually going on that spot, they are more to the side of the sofa, bottom of picture, which is in front of the glass sliding doors as seen the second photo of my original post. So the space will have more of a flow. Same with floor lamp, this will also go on the bottom left corner, next to one armchair, and in front of glass doors. These placements are for reference only. I also like to have a touch of brown too (to go with the brown), so something like an earthy industrial vibe! Thanks for any feedback :)
