Hi Johan Not sure if it is possible with the construction of the unit, but you could possibly remove the upright cupboards (or make up new ones) and place them further out on the edges. This would visually make the unit a lot bigger and fill the space in a bit better proportion. (If you have to make up new ones you could make them deeper for more storage) you could then make up a simple panel at a cabinetmaker for the infill between in the same colour, which would allow the mounting of a large tv on it without to much drama. the bulkhead over would need to be extended also like this (quick and dirty) pic below... Hi Monia, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. The only issue in placing the console on the opposite wall is that I have planned to place 4 big photo frames in there (black and white). This is a feature wall and I always thought about having some nice big frames in there. I am even considering not having a console/mirror at all so that I can keep the photos there. The console + photos + mirror on that same side I think will be a bit too busy? Thanks again for your help.

My goodness, what you have looks fabulous, but if you want a change the ginger jars are lovely, but I think your items at the moment are stunning.

My attitude is that artwork is artwork . I don't mean that in a bad way , and I love art , and that piece is really nice . But it isn't part of the table , it isn't intended to be . Move it 40cm higher and 80cm or whatever to the right . Basically , don't make it look part of anything else , and don't make it look 'formal' . Then the table you can do what you like with -- it is a table , it now isn't part of an art installation !
