Comments (39)That looks so much better. Definitely make chair covers for the rest. I've used aqua accessories in my room- a throw, some coasters and a leaf shaped bowl for the table which has a silver outside. You can always change the accessories with the seasons (I have a red throw for Christmas time) . I'm also having a dilemma with a large window. Initially I'd wanted plantation shutters in white to replace the dark red cedar venetians which made the room gloomy, but I'm now thinking of softening with semi-sheer curtains. It is only partially overlooked in one corner and the rest looks out onto a wall that is less than 1 metre away....See MoreNeed styling help
Comments (1)Have you considered a chunky framed mirror for over the buffet? I'd then style the bench top with a large ceramic bowl filled with big deco balls in rattan. A bigger lamp with a glass base and linen shade would complete the setting. The other console table would look great with an arrangement of blue and green glass vessels. Have fun with this!...See MoreStyling help with entry hallway
Comments (11)I would just LOVE a space like this in my home, for I would agree with dohraime above and keep the flow and view into your lounge space free-flowing. One can never have too many views to gaze at! I would make the space say "library" and: - keep the wall unit and include plenty of books - keep the gorgeous floor lamp - add 2 small lightish coloured, plain or patterned comfy chairs and a small coffee table underneath the stairs - add a complimentary console table on the wall opposite the stairs - add a large stylish mirror over the console table to bounce light around the fairly dark space - add a generously sized, patterned rug with some lightish colours in it, round or oblong, whichever you prefer. If the comfy chairs are patterned, ensure the rug coordinates with them Oh .... And a statement pendant ceiling light as well even though you have down lights already good luck!...See Morekitchen style help
Comments (1)Hi Alex, I do like the choice in your photos. The tiles pick up the vein colour. Have you looked at a colour similar to your floor tiles. Caesarstone Shitake? This would give another look to the space. Just depends what overall aesthetic you are going for. Thanks....See MoreDr Retro House Calls
