Hello. Thank you for your questions and interest in our work. The wood siding on this house is reclaimed redwood. The material was removed from a local civic building. We re-milled the redwood to a smooth tongue and groove profile (think wood flooring on the wall), and to a size that achieved maximum yield from the original material. When properly finished with a high performing finish and installed correctly, the look of real wood cannot be surpassed or emulated, in our opinion. We do not understand your other question of what the house is built of - sorry. Best of luck on your project.

Thank you. Yes the natural wood is beautiful but oh..the maintenance. I'm interested to know the membrane of the walls behind the wood. Is it wood cladding on brick etc with a steel frame and what are the walls insulated with? Thanks again.
