Need help for kitchen pendant lights - do I match dining pendant???
Comments (10)Never been a fan of matching lighting exactly, but instead suggest coordinating the pendants with your current fixture. You don't have to stick to ball-shaped either and can maybe go with a tubular shape. If you're hubby is stuck on chrome, maybe a chrome tube would work... if you want more glass, we also carry a line of pendant lighting and I'm sure you'll find something to go with it or atleast give you an idea....See MoreBedrooms - ceiling fan w light v's stylish pendant
Comments (2)I understand the practicality of a fan with ceiling light, BUT they are just not the best looking solution. You can add so much style to your room with a well chosen pendant light. If you are renovating to sell buyers will be moved emotionally by the look of the amazing pendant and will fall in love.... the same level of passion does not exist for a fan in Victoria....See MoreIdeas for pendant lights for kitchen
Comments (23)Hi there, I agree with a lot of the suggestions above. Consider the textures, colours and finishes of your furnishings and artwork and think of the pendants as an opportunity to reiterate some of these. So for instance, if you have some black metal in the coffee table legs, you may bring in some of that in the kitchen pendants and look for say glass pendants with black fixtures. Coloured pendants are fun but they can date a lot quicker - bring in colour in the room through artwork, cushions and accessories....See MoreLighting debate- pendants, led fans, downlights
Comments (7)We have just been through this. The fans are pretty much mandatory in our climate. I agree that the fans with lights are ugly - the lighting is also terrible and a lot of them are designed so it is very difficult to change the globe. In our bedroom, we put a fan in the middle of the ceiling, with a downlight in one corner (which we only use when we need bright light) and lamps on our bedside tables. We haven't found that we needed more than that. I was like you and wanted a pendant but couldn't find the right one so the downlight went in as a temporary measure. Once the right pendant appears, it will look beautiful in that corner. I have bright lighting in the ensuite and WIR and the bedroom is really only used for sleeping so no need to over-illuminate. In our lounge, we put a fan in the centre of the room and used wall sconces that wash light up the walls. I then have a lamp over the piano and for when we do puzzles and need more light....See More- 6 years ago
