How to make an off-centre window look balanced?
Comments (12)I agree with Susan, that is a great idea... But no mater what you do, you will have to keep your drapes or blinds closed all the time to give "everything is centered" impression and no matter what you do, something not centered will always look off balance. Since you have everything open already, and there is no header above, why not install a double window of the same size to make everything centered and not only it will make the room look brighter it will bring everything together... Not to mention all you have to do on the outside is trim the window out without disturbing, adding or replacing siding. Just a thought... Good luck...See MoreOff-Centre Windows in Bedroom

If you put a curtain wall to wall the centre opening may not open in the correct position to suit your window....See MoreHELP with off centre window at front of house
Comments (7)I’d suggest “balancing” your window with a large sculptural piece, covering approximately the same width and height. A green wall, something mirroring the moulding on the gable at the rear of the photo, an abstract metal wall fixture, battens….anything with a little depth as that will also help with the balance. It doesn’t have to be an exact replica of the window, just visually imply a similar impact and, importantly, something that resonates with the owner’s own taste and preferences...See Morewall decor help - Off centred couch
