Comments (9)I love something about each and every one of them but they are not appropriate for people who may be fit now but one slip or accident and they will not be able to access their section at all. Strong, Sturdy, Uncluttered, Easy Clean (e.g. waterblast) is my suggestion. A handrail is a must and that can be done decoratively / rustic or modern. No one photo above is in my mind entirely suitable. You also need to look at the height of the tread and the size of the step (depth). I am in my 40's and have a major knee injury so I speak from experience in relation to steps. If you can have some level areas with a seat of similar to sit on along the journey that would also be nice....See Morewhich table will go best
Comments (22)Hmmm I do understand your indecision. So if it were me I would lean toward caution and choose a tabletop which blends with your existing colour scheme. It's always difficult to tell from a photo the hues in someone else's home. It does appear your kitchen tiles are a cream colour, and possibly your sofa is a warm white. Is that correct? If so, I would look for a marble with warm tones. If you like black as the main colour, is there one with beige or warm white or brown tones in it? Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with glass topped or timber....See Morewhich shade of grey works best with this portico and fascia trims?
Comments (3)Thanks for your thoughts here Julie. I agree the darker colour does create a more dramatic and elegant look. I think I am more concerned that the portico being such a large imposing structure may end up looking too dark. Most of the time with something completely different its more a case of it growing on you I suppose and I would need to replicate the same colour with all my wood beams on eaves down the sides of house, gutters and pergola. I been told to keep it simple with one colour for everything. would you agree?...See Moredyliane
