I would like some advice whether to put a splashback at the back of the mixer tap or tile the whole wall. If the whole wall, any suggestions for colour , tile.
If you are doing a whole wall then I would go for a plainer, simpler tile so your bathroom isn't overwhelmed with pattern. If budget is no worries then go for a full height wall tile but be sure that your surface is sound and suitable for all the extra weight.
Tiling the entire wall can make a bathroom feel bigger. Its also depends if you want to make the splash back a feature of the bathroom or continuing the other tiles used. If you are only tiling up to a point on the wall, your budget might stretch to something a little more decorative like a mosaic tile.
Would you consider using an alternative material to tiles? If so, there are several types of wall linings that can be used instead of tiles or used to compliment tiling. Many of these alternative products are easier to install than tiling and can make a striking finish.
