Sliding door for master ensuite bath - help!
Comments (6)A cavity sliding door will be the solution to the shelf problems. But in any situation it requires to be built into the wall. Brick wall is I presume a bit more work. A wall mounted sliding door will take up space on the wall. It's just about working out where is best. Need the wall shelves in the ensuite? Then it's outside, and pull the furniture out from the wall a little so it can run along the wall. Really need a bookcase or other wall unit right on that wall? Consider if you can move the bathroom shelves. :)...See MoreAll the same bathroom , ensuite and powder room ?
Comments (12)HI Renae, I like your colour choice black & white, I went all white in my renovations of kitchen & bathroom and just by adding a bright coloured fruit bowl, vase, pot plant and a small painting in the kitchen made the kitchen look fresh whilst in the bathroom I just added bright towels bath mat. I changed the colours in winter to warm colours and cooler colours in the summer both kitchen and bathroom. These are simple and cheap things to change a look whilst if you go for timber it can date quickly and timber absorbs moisture so it has to be looked after (time consuming and $) looking forward to seeing your finished renovations....See MoreBathroom shelving
Comments (7)Cipriano bathroom and home design. Thanks for those photo's, I'm thinking about shiplap cladding and shelves in my toilet and photo 4 confirms that contemporary style floating shelves will look great, I was a bit worried that I might have to add Federation style (house is fed). The shelves would be on the opposite wall to loo and I hate seeing rolls of toilet paper but they have to be in reach so thought a simple shelf with sliding doors (finger hole in doors no handles) above the loo would work and also provide a place for a plant on top underneath the window. That tiny room has been causing me so much stress! Oh I have a metre high half Zebra easy peel wall sticker (to keep small grandson interested whilst on the job) on wall opposite loo which is contemporary, another reason I wanted the shelves above it to be a bit modern. I think it will look great now, even adults love the zebra lol. Thanks again I'm totally sorted....See MoreBathroom in need of an update! Budget ideas needed.
Comments (23)Hello! Lovely space, I have a huge soft spot for these bathrooms. To honour what it is, but make it more enjoyable for your uses PLANTS PLANTS PLANTS. I would either install some shelving to have some dangling vines (or equivalent look) plants up high, or use a hanging fixture into the ceiling. That far corner above the bath would be great. + A large (and tall) pot plant and some smaller ones wherever you can fit them. On top of this, I would replace the doily curtain to a more modern look, perhaps white, wooden blinds? If you can do further work from here, it would be accessories, like the towel rail, and tap ware. Something a little Art Deco for your taps would look amazing. Finish with large, fluffy white towels and bathmats to conceal as much of the colour as possible and brighten the space and a big candle or three, maybe a white stool or ladder too....See More- 3 months ago
