Hi Ellice, we have just (on Saturday) moved our side tables out and put our tall boys beside the bed because of storage issues as well. We have an old house with no built in storage. We thought we could build in a wardrobe in a small space but just can't make it work so have ordered a free standing wardrobe that will be where tall boys were. A guest bedroom should be inviting and relaxing but walking into a room with dbl. lge mirrors and seeing yourself twice on every occasion is not my idea of inviting. The chest is nice, how does that tone with the bedset? Could that be put on the wall opposite the curtains, add new crystal knobs and put a tiny chair offside with it and a small picture above with timber frame.How about a quilted beadhead in med. weight fabric to match the colour in the quilt (not navy) and do you need tables each side of bed? new house with a blank canvas of primarily white walls, black frame doors/windows & blonde timber (oak) floors so would like to stick to this palette for the big items (though will introduce pops of colour with smaller decor items)... going for a scandi inspired contemporary look... and kitchen next to open plan dining is black, white & grey, haven't bought stools yet but will probably get timber ones

Thanks so much for your input everyone. Those who had a look at my idea books, unfortunately they are super outdated and a couple of years old. SInce then we have moved and our style has slightly changed. I do think the majority are right in that a coffee table would be too crowded- Vy the tv unit supports the tv as it is not wall mounted. We mounted it but it looked so out of place that we reverted back to the tv unit. I think i will search for a nice side table to place in between the two recliners and leave the space in the middle. The trunk doesnt look great in the middle as its quite a bit higher than the chairs unfortunately! Thanks again for all your input!
