Kitchen island bench colour
Comments (18)I've noticed a recent trend of the vertical color on the island matching the vertical color on the splashback. Liking that trend. So I would say go with the turquoise glass splash back color. Deepen it a little so the hue is closer to that of the floor. Cant tell from pic whether island cupboards are the same color as cupboards above the splashback. If they are, all the better. That then brings the turquoise/white combo forward into the room and gives some unity....See MoreHelp with my kitchen please.
Comments (29)That is a dream bench top. exactly what I had and what I would do again. Once your kitchen is finished it is going to look great. Your original vision and gut feeling for what you wanted was right. You just need to see the bigger picture when it's in the middle of the build. The overhand is perfect. Too small and there would be nowhere to put your knees. Cant wait to see the finished room. Also dont fret. Once decorated with pots pans, coffee machine etc.. you'll be in total love with it....See MoreHow do I furnish my new lounge room?
Comments (31)Hi Roz, Looks like you have a beautiful space with lots of light, great idea to go with a tropical theme and the bar will be a fantastic touch. If you want something a little more casual, have you considered adding a [drinks trolley/ bar cart[(https://www.houzz.com.au/magazine/bar-trolleys-let-the-good-times-roll-stsetivw-vs~56579761) instead of a built-in bar? Also, there are some great ideas in [this story[(https://www.houzz.com.au/magazine/get-the-look-caribbean-style-with-a-twist-stsetivw-vs~76280038) that might help you with furniture and decor. As a lot of other people have said, natural fibres are going to be your best friends, as are lots of [beautiful houseplants[(https://www.houzz.com.au/magazine/our-10-hottest-indoor-plants-stsetivw-vs~27299305) to add lushness and freshness to the space, perfect with all of those windows. Hope this helps, and can't wait to see the finished product! Deirdre...See Morelounge dilemma: leather vs Fabric
Comments (12)Tan leather sofa look great with grey. I love my leather sofa, grandkids have been jumping over mine for years and still looks great, so easy to clean. I've had the fabric sofas and they always start looking shabby after a while. You can cover them, but what's the point, nice sofa and you have to cover it, no way. Just if you get leather, condition it every 6 mths, they will tell you if you buy one, only a matter of rubbing conditioner into it gently, easy...See MoreSpaces Reinvented, LLC
