Comments (9)The dust and work boots coming inside the farmhouse used to drive my mum nuts! If you know the brand and name of the brick, do a google image search to look at some of the new builds. That might give an idea of some possible colour schemes that could work. Many new builds have painted rendered portions work well with the brick colour. You could use one of those colours for the verandah or posts, for instance. Comments (24)You have a lot of great features included that aren't replicated in modern houses due to costs. The semi circular stairs, thats wow right there! ^^petapea is spot on by the way! I'm currently working on plans for a house that was rendered in 2006. It has the wow factor; WOW that's bland as bat sh!t.... We're adding things like a bay window, new porch in painted timber and some masonry back to make it look good again. Then the new landscaping will really lift it! You could render garage facade and paint it, pressure clean the rest and do those maintenance jobs like cracked flooring, leaking gutters etc. The stairs are too narrow to be any use so widen them up to 1000-1200 wide. Comments (4)Hi Lisa, Great house, I would paint all your trims, window frames and trim under window, fences and garage door in similar colour to your roof, add a new front door with a gorgeous potted plant, widen the garden bed on right of your photo, add structural plants, try and incorporate some trees into the landscaping for a lush look, a water feature in the garden bed would look beautiful...See More- 5 years ago
