Comments (6)@dkin0577, If the dark wallpaper works for you then go for it but the picture you have provided is a much larger area!!! We're all here to help with your ideas but ultimately it has to work for you. I love your secretaire and only wish I had such a lovely piece of furniture with sentimental value. Unfortunately, my parents never had the money, only buying what would work. Don't let anyone talk you into "outing" it but I do agree with Joshua to remove the lamp and photo, let this piece of furniture shine!!! Perhaps a wall light over the secretaire would look stunning. Most important thing from my point of view, is that the area looks tiny, so don't fall into the trap of over filling it, as that alone will detract from the very piece of furniture you are trying to highlight. Could be too that you could highlight this secretaire in some other part of the home and perhaps put a hall stand with a mirror in that area instead but on the other wall ?? Good luck again. Comments (11)Hi, not sure how the full length of your wall jutting out looks. But I think a mirror covering that entire part of the wall and then a fantastic piece of artwork on the wall above your small table would look great and open the space up a lot. Depending on the size of the artwork you could even do without the table. Imagine the gorgeous impact that would make....See MoreBiophilia and how to incorporate it to improve health and wellbeing
Comments (5)Thank you for this article: very interesting and just substantiating what I have always been aware of. How important the garden is to any living space. I see a problem with our green fields being carved into such time sites and the houses being built so unnecessarily large that it leaves no more space than for a pot plant. I think we need to look at getting the balance of site to house size right, leaving enough MIND space on the site. Also maybe an added sliding scale of costing to homes as they are planned larger. How needs 30 sq? Same applies to infill sites: taking all the site for the 'unit' is just silly: defeating the purpose of infills. House plants are good, and a park across the road is ok but having grass between the toes in your own private space is so much better especially for children. The quarter acre block was settled on as the ideal size for a family to produce their own vegetables but we have messed that up big time! Time to rethink our sizes and proportions... Comments (12)I don't understand how this thing works as it certainly doesn't resemble anything like any of the photos. How far back did the gaps go? They look like awesome cobwebs traps. I just don't get this placement at all with the angled walls. If it was me I'd rip the whole thing out and try something else...See MoreRappArchitecture
