What about a couple of towel hooks and hang towels to add colour, I see you have a grey washer on the tap spout.

I hung a canvas in my bathroom. I did spray it with some varnish back and front. No issues and I have no window so it is like my view. Also have had framed postcards before again no issues. Towels are a good way as well as flowers on vanity to add colour

An art print in a $30 Kmart frame would look great and not be a crazy investment if it didn’t last. For prints look at Grotti Lotti, Anya Brock, Carley Bourne or Steph Brooke. All Australian and non-generic. Or for quite a budget option you can look on Etsy and get a digital download which can be printed at Office Works or Kmart. I love art in a bathroom.

How beautiful is your ensuite, just by adding a few items and it could look amazing, as big reader says grab an art print and Kmart frame and you have a striking piece for under $50, adding a timber piece to compliment the vanity, hanging towels on hooks looks great, also maybe a small stool near bath could just tie it all together, it’s just choosing your favourite colour and go from there.

It is really white ! I like the textures , but I just wonder if you take a more co-ordinated approach -- there are 2 niches -- I'd look at doing the 4 sides of each of them in timber the same as the vanity , and then really double down with a larger mirror with a big chunky frame in the same timber , either above the toilet or the bath . I know some people don't want too many mirrors in a bathroom , but hey , why not scare yourself every now and then haha !

Then bring in a bit of colour -- add towels , but also a larger bathmat ( water resistant rug ) , either all in the same colour , but I also like the idea of two contrasting but complimentary colours -- it will add interest but alsdo complement the whites . Two blues is pretty predicatble ( and 'cold' IMO ) , but what about say a lighter yellow and a strong mustard , for example ?

It is really white…only broken up with the beautiful timber vanity. I have canvas artwork in my bathrooms. Never a problem. Artwork will definitely give the bathroom a lift.

And could I also suggest to change the power point cover. They are an essential item, so might as well look pretty.

Thx everyone, will definitely go for a large, richly coloured canvas, print or maybe even a photo. And I’ll also swap out my little plant with something with a bit of height, maybe even replace the pink phalaenopsis I had there originally even if I need to do so on an annual basis. I think it will only need those small touches to give it the lift it needs to fit our style. I do have two towel rings, one at the exit and one near the shower and my towels are aqua / turquoise, so they do add to the ambiance. Also below is the blackheart stool / table my son made for me which matches the vanity and mirror frame, also his work, and beautifully figured but doesn’t show well with the light today and my less than stellar photography. I promise everyone it’s not as all white as it appears, the blue walls do show up irl 😊. Special shoutout to Pottsy 9 and a bit, I needed a smile today and you delivered in spades.

Your pink and aqua towels reminded me of this print. I have two similar in my work office. Just in Kmart/ikea wood tone frames and they always get compliments.

I'd buy something cheap now, but keep your eye out for something special and 3D. My purchases like this are when I'm on holidays and have time to poke around arty/crafty shops. In the photos, the fish has been hanging in my bathroom for over 4 years and no problems. It's papier mache but finished in a clear varnish. The gecko is metal finished in car paint! It's currently outside where it gets rained on.
