This beautiful property has been brought to life through thoughtful interior design. Our goal was to enhance the building’s existing character while creating an inviting, cosy atmosphere. A strong accent colour has been introduced to uplift the spaces, complemented by richly textured materials. Finishes such as liquid metal on the cabinetry and bouclé fabrics add depth and tactile interest, elevating the overall design.

Philip and Judi's oak-framed home is a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern interior design. The double-height entrance hall, framed with honey oak beams, features a sleek walnut staircase with glass balustrades, setting a luxurious tone upon arrival. The heart of the home, an open-plan Shaker-style kitchen and dining room, offers a warm, cosy atmosphere with exposed oak ceiling joists, large islands with induction hobs, double ovens, and a spacious fridge freezer, ideal for family living.
The mezzanine landing provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and leads to five en-suite bedrooms, each with vaulted ceilings, creating a bright and airy feel. The master en-suite boasts a stunning gable window, framing the exact view Philip fell in love with, while the bold statement bathrooms throughout the house add a sense of modern luxury.
A hidden entrance leads to Philip’s contemporary man cave, a contrasting retreat that looks out over the serene lake and stables. With three walls of floor-to-ceiling glazing, the garden room offers a tranquil space to relax while keeping an eye on the horses in the fields below.
The living room features oak floor joists, adding warmth and character, while the impressive fireplace, built using the door jams from the original longhouse, serves as a striking centrepiece. French doors open out to the fields, making it the perfect space to unwind in the evenings.
The home’s design harmonises perfectly with the natural landscape. The eastern elevation captures the sun, while panoramic honey oak apex windows allow light to flood into the cosy bedrooms, creating a luxurious hotel-like ambiance with a countryside twist. The bespoke chandelier, commissioned specifically for the double-height entrance hall, adds a touch of grandeur and is perfectly framed by the surrounding oak and glass.
Every detail has been meticulously considered, from the lighting choices and colour schemes to the hidden man cave and feature walls, creating a home that is both practical and aesthetically stunning. The home’s natural honey-coloured stone exterior blends seamlessly with the landscape, giving the appearance of a property that has stood in its location for centuries.
This oak-framed masterpiece combines modern luxury with timeless charm, making it the perfect countryside retreat.

The living room layout used to be awkward with a small window in the corner and an inset gas fireplace and free standing furniture that looked cluttered. A media wall was created as part of the design to create a real destination. We create bespoke sofas for the space that can be apart or connected to create the ultimate movie watching experience. The new gas fire is efficient and provides added levels of cosiness. The bottom shelves also double up as handy storage whilst the shelves can be used to create a stylish display.

The clients wanted a makeover of their living room. As it was, it remained unused. They wanted to keep the existing large corner modular sofa. We used this as a starting point for the colour scheme. We fully wallpapered the walls and added gorgeous leaf wallpaper feature wall with metallic hints. We brought in statement accent chairs in a beautiful red, the clients favourite colour. We added beautiful pendants and floor lamps and the result was a room which they absolutely love and spend evenings as a family!

Project Overview: Mrs Manjit Lounge
Client Brief:
Following discussions, the proposed lounge design scheme embraces a timeless navy and silver palette, evoking elegance, calm, and sophistication for a refined, welcoming atmosphere with modern luxury touches.
Scope of Work:
-Interior design
-Furniture sourcing
-Lighting and accessory selection
-Styling and decorative accents
-Window treatment and cabinetry updates
Design Narrative:
The lounge is designed to balance deep richness and contemporary sparkle. Navy serves as the anchor colour, complemented by silver accents to add clean, sophisticated highlights throughout the space.
Key Design Elements:
Walls & Colour Palette:
Remaining walls are painted a soft neutral grey with a subtle blue undertone, enhancing the calming effect of the navy and silver scheme.
Flooring:
Options include luxury oak-effect laminate or deep grey carpet, providing warmth and contrast. An optional silver-threaded area rug with subtle patterns ties the scheme together.
Furniture:
A velvet or linen-upholstered navy sofa with chrome or brushed silver legs anchors the seating area. Accent chairs in soft dove grey or silver-blue with piped detailing add texture and comfort.
Accessories & Textures:
Cushions combine silver velvet, metallic brocade, and navy suede textures. Silver-framed mirrors reflect light and visually expand the room. Floor and table lamps feature crystal or brushed steel bases paired with navy or grey shades. Statement wall art includes abstract silver leaf prints on navy backgrounds or monochrome photography in silver frames.
Window Treatments:
Floor-length navy velvet curtains with silver tiebacks frame the space. The client had already installed white colonial shutters on the front bay window. Glass shelves were added to the arch glazed side window and the right-hand alcove for carefully sourced accessories.
Custom Cabinetry & Radiators:
An upcycled low four-door cabinet was painted in an accent colour and fitted with newly designed gold decorative handles. Existing oak lamp tables were painted in the same accent colour. Radiators were replaced with black graphite ladder-style units, placed each side of one sofa location.
Decorative Accents:
Silver candle holders, navy glass vases, and geometric ornaments add finishing touches. A statement ceiling light, either a chrome chandelier or a modern metallic gold sunburst pendant, draws the eye upward, completing the design.
Designer Insight:
This lounge design reflects an elegant fusion of classic colour contrasts and modern luxury. The thoughtful layering of navy and silver tones, combined with custom detailing and textures, creates a sophisticated yet welcoming space tailored to the client’s refined taste.
