Photographer: Paul Craig For this study/office the warm finishes on the walnut desk and the leather desk chair become a centrepiece of the room, with the brass lighting matching this wood colour perfectly. The panelling and cornicing which has been painted a soft off-white farrow and ball colour creates a harmony between light and dark with the light marble fire surround and the black internal extending this concept further.

Design ideas for a mid-sized shabby-chic style craft room in Paris with white walls, medium hardwood floors and a freestanding desk.

Designed and built by Sherbrooke design and Construction to maximize a relatively small 450 square block, this home is surprisingly spacious as you set foot inside. A wonderful home flooded with natural light, featuring rusted pressed metal printed wallpaper, breathtaking slabs of Calcutta marble, alfresco ceiling heat panels, fans and a pool.

In the study we were challenged with hiding a gun safe, we used tongue & groove paneling to conceal the door and drawer. Finished with Corston Barlow furniture knobs in bronze, with our custom 'Snug Bronze' butt hinges.
