Everything about this home is perfect - the Wooden Box house also a knock out. Your vision of space and materials is remarkable. We will sign contract to do reno in next few days, getting nervous, part of the reno is an area being reconfigured and becoming more open plan. We are planning a mid grey tile in large open area and as part if this a new kitchen/dinning area, which has a new raised ceiling, planning on it having a wood lined ceiling, Vic Ash with natural matt stain. In a small room away from this where the ceiling is also raised we are thinking of doing a pine which will have a milky limed look. Our window frames will be monument - though black seems extremely popular and looks very good. Your whole approach to your interiors gives me hope we are moving towards a cohesive look - though I am not sure we will come close to the excellent result you have here.
