For the space leading to the backyard from the house, we used pavers for uniformity. The high horizontal fence is used to provide some privacy from neighbors. Counter space for cooking outside was added using a piece of wood with a live edge and sealed. The edge of the planters were turned into benches. Overall, the goal was to provide the owners with a space to entertain with a lot of people on beautiful days.
