This landscape project was designed with a very close connection and understanding to the architecture of the house. We installed large sandstone rocks to work with the natural escarpments of rock that was cut into for the build. Out the back is an expansion of the internal living space, the level ground plane continues through to the deck and rear lawn. A drystack sandstone seating wall retains a rustic native garden. The front is laid with a burnished concrete driveway that contracts nicely against the dark painted and natural timber cladding. These concrete pads were poured separately, a mix of pebbles and Dichondra plant tiles were utilised to break up the surface are and tie back to the landscape.
