This outdated and deteriorating master bathroom needed a modern update after sustaining a leak. We had worked with them in the past on their kitchen and they knew the design and remodeling level of excellence we brought to the table, so they hired us to design a modern master-suite. We removed a garden tub, allowing for a walk-in shower, complete with a heated towel rack and drying area. We were able to incorporate showcasing of their orchids in the design with an orchid shelf on the exterior of the shower, as well as searching high and low to provide vessel bowl sinks that had a unique shape and utilizing contemporary lights. The end result is a spa-like master suite, that was beyond what they had hoped for and has them loving where they live. Discussions have begun for their next project.

Adding The light warm wood cabinets to each side of the sink allows for optimal bathroom storage and also a breath of warmth that the bathroom desperately needed. The large mirror and Chrome fixtures added a touch of metal to the space which allows the Turquoise backsplash glass tile to vividly shine through. The freestanding tub sits on a dark porcelain tile platform, light roman shades cover the windows and a chair sits as sculpture. A large custom designed walk-in closet features adjustable built ins for maximum storage, and details like chevron drawer faces and lit trifold mirrors add a touch of glamour. Getting ready for the day is made easier with a personal coffee and tea nook built for a Keurig machine, so you can get a caffeine fix before leaving the master suite. In the master bathroom, a breathtaking patterned floor tile repeats in the shower niche, complemented by a full-wall vanity with built-in storage. The adjoining tub room showcases a freestanding tub nestled beneath an elegant chandelier.

Selected as one of four designers to the prestigious DXV Design Panel to design a space for their 2018-2020 national ad campaign || Inspired by 21st Century black & white architectural/interior photography, in collaboration with DXV, we created a healing space where light and shadow could dance throughout the day and night to reveal stunning shapes and shadows. With retractable clear skylights and frame-less windows that slice through strong architectural planes, a seemingly static white space becomes a dramatic yet serene hypnotic playground; igniting a new relationship with the sun and moon each day by harnessing their energy and color story. Seamlessly installed earthy toned teak reclaimed plank floors provide a durable grounded flow from bath to shower to lounge. The juxtaposition of vertical and horizontal layers of neutral lines, bold shapes and organic materials, inspires a relaxing, exciting, restorative daily destination.

The goal of this project, completed in collaboration with Julie Dunfee Designs, was to achieve a layout and contemporary feel more in tune with the client’s needs. The original bathroom was very traditional, and the layout consisted of two spaces – the vanity area and a large makeup dressing room area, the latter not being something the new homeowner felt they would use. So, we dove in and eliminated the divider wall making one large open space which now feels open, airy and bright. In addition to new vanity cabinets, a custom dresser was designed to provide additional storage for the homeowner. New herringbone white Thasos marble covers the entire floor and provides a sparkly backdrop for the dark gray cabinets and polished nickel accents. The existing tub and shower were re-purposed, and a new heated towel bar was added at the shower area. Unique lighting, mosaic tile at the tub area and lighted mirrors add the modern touches the homeowner was looking for. Its is a semi detached 5 storey home, previously converted from office space back to a home with a poor quality extension. We designed a new extension with zinc cladding which reduces the existing footprint but created a more useable and beautiful living / dining space. Using the full width of the property establishes a true relationship with the outdoor space. A top to toe refurbishment rediscovers this home's identity; the original cornicing has been restored and wood bannister French polished. A structural glass roof in the kitchen allows natural light to flood the basement and skylights introduces more natural light to the loft space.
