This transformation started with a builder grade bathroom and was expanded into a sauna wet room. With cedar walls and ceiling and a custom cedar bench, the sauna heats the space for a relaxing dry heat experience. The goal of this space was to create a sauna in the secondary bathroom and be as efficient as possible with the space. This bathroom transformed from a standard secondary bathroom to a ergonomic spa without impacting the functionality of the bedroom. This project was super fun, we were working inside of a guest bedroom, to create a functional, yet expansive bathroom. We started with a standard bathroom layout and by building out into the large guest bedroom that was used as an office, we were able to create enough square footage in the bathroom without detracting from the bedroom aesthetics or function. We worked with the client on her specific requests and put all of the materials into a 3D design to visualize the new space. By expanding the room slightly it gave us the needed space to relocate the toilet, the vanity and the entrance to the bathroom allowing for the wet room to have the full length of the new space. This bathroom includes a cedar sauna room that is incorporated inside of the shower, the custom cedar bench follows the curvature of the room's new layout and a window was added to allow the natural sunlight to come in from the bedroom. The aromatic properties of the cedar are delightful whether it's being used with the dry sauna heat and also when the shower is steaming the space. In the shower are matching porcelain, marble-look tiles, with architectural texture on the shower walls contrasting with the warm, smooth cedar boards. Also, by increasing the depth of the toilet wall, we were able to create useful towel storage without detracting from the room significantly. This entire project and client was a joy to work with.

This bathroom remodel in Fulton, Missouri started out by removing sheetrock, old wallpaper and flooring, taking the bathroom nearly down to the studs before its renovation. Then the Dimensions In Wood team laid ceramic tile flooring throughout. A fully glassed-in, walk-in Onyx base shower was installed with a handheld shower sprayer, a handicap-accessible, safety grab bar, and small shower seat. Decorative accent glass tiles add an attractive element to the floor-to-ceiling shower tile, and also extend inside the two shelf shower niche. A full bathtub still gives the home owners the option for a shower or a soak. The single sink vanity has a Taj Mahal countertop which is a quartzite that resembles Italian Calacatta marble in appearance, but is much harder and more durable. Custom cabinets provide ample storage and the wall is protected by a glass tile backsplash which matches the shower. Recessed can lights installed in the ceiling keep the bathroom bright, in connection with the mirror mounted sconces. Finally a custom toilet tank topper cabinet with crown moulding adds storage space. This Odenton, MD master bathroom design fits storage, style, and a highly functional layout into a compact space. The HomeCrest maple Sedona style vanity cabinet in a willow gray finish fits neatly into an alcove and offers ample storage and space for two people to get ready. The vanity is topped by a Calacatta Vicenza Q Quartz countertop with two Kohler Archer sinks, and Mirabelle Provincetown single hole sink faucets. The corner shower has a custom glass shower enclosure with a built in shower bench and three stainless shower shelves that provide storage for key toiletries. The shower has a Delta In2ition 2-in-1 multi-function wall-mounted handheld showerhead and Mirabelle shower valve and thermostatic valve. Tile creates a soothing setting in this shower design with Sande Gray 12 x 24 tile by MSI wall tile and shaved black stone sheet shower floor tile, adding to the soothing spa-style atmosphere in the bath design. The bathroom floor is Dimensions by MSI 12 x 24 graphite tile. Two Kohler Archer single door frameless mirrored medicine cabinets offer additional storage, and Mirabelle Provincetown towel rings provide space to hang up towels.

This project involved a complete gut of an existing master bath space. The fixtures and finishes were far beyond their prime. The space itself was a nice size, especially for a Victorian home, but the arrangement of the fixtures was all wrong. The solution was to rearrange all of the primary bath functions and make the space more user friendly. A new walk-in shower with a wood drying platform became a focal point at one end of the room. Pale grey cabinets, with a clean and light counter surface, is enhanced by the huge amount of natural light that pours in from an existing sky light. Being consistent with materials around the room helped to unify the space. The solid surface material at shower bench, vanity counter, curbing and wall caps all stay quiet, allowing the color elements to pop. We LOVE our clients! In addition to their laundry, mudroom, and powder bath, we also remodeled the owner's suite. We "borrowed" space from their long bedroom to add a second closet. We created a new layout for the bathroom to include a private toilet room (with unexpected wallpaper), larger shower, bold paint color, and a soaking tub. They had also asked for a steam shower and sauna... but being the dream killers we are we had to scale back. Don't worry, we are doing those elements in their upcoming basement remodel. We had custom designed cabinetry with Pro Design using rifted white oak for the vanity and the floating shelves over the freestanding tub. We also made sure to incorporate a bench, oversized niche, and hand held shower fixture...all must have for the clients.
