About five years ago, these homeowners saw the potential in a brick-and-oak-heavy, wallpaper-bedecked, 1990s-in-all-the-wrong-ways home tucked in a wooded patch among fields somewhere between Indianapolis and Bloomington. Their first project with SYH was a kitchen remodel, a total overhaul completed by JL Benton Contracting, that added color and function for this family of three (not counting the cats). A couple years later, they were knocking on our door again to strip the ensuite bedroom of its ruffled valences and red carpet—a bold choice that ran right into the bathroom (!)—and make it a serene retreat. Color and function proved the goals yet again, and JL Benton was back to make the design reality. The clients thoughtfully chose to maximize their budget in order to get a whole lot of bells and whistles—details that undeniably change their daily experience of the space. The fantastic zero-entry shower is composed of handmade tile from Heath Ceramics of California. A window where the was none, a handsome teak bench, thoughtful niches, and Kohler fixtures in vibrant brushed nickel finish complete the shower. Custom mirrors and cabinetry by Stoll’s Woodworking, in both the bathroom and closet, elevate the whole design. What you don't see: heated floors, which everybody needs in Indiana. This outdated master bathroom had a layout that did not work for the homeowners. There was a very large garden tub, which was never used, a small neo-angle shower and a toilet that sat in the middle of the room. We provided them with a much larger shower, a second vanity and we were able to give them a bit more privacy. The slightly textured stacked tile, marble accents and gorgeous white vanities with gray quartz tops provide a beautiful face-lift to a once dark and dreary master bathroom.

This easy-breezy-beach home master bath is the perfect mix of relaxing and function. With a closet built for a storage and a shower bench sit for comfort, this small space makes a big impact on this home! With a beautiful blend of whites, grey, and blues, you'll truly feel the ocean indoors with this stunningly styled space.

This was updated shower converted from a step down into shower that was damaged by a pan leak, The entire shower was revamped with recessed soap niche, granite floating bench, and barn door style shower door. The floor was raised about 8 inches to make a barrier less entry and a much more spacious shower.

This Modern Spa Master Bathroom went through some major changes! A more contemporary look and wheelchair access is what the couple wanted. Pulling from Japanese design Morey Remodeling created a tranquil space with custom painted cabinetry and imported tile. Includes a new floating vanity with touch LED light medicine cabinets, Delta touch technology faucets and custom backsplash. The jacuzzi tub is the perfect addition to the roll in shower with multiple shower heads. Now the homeowners can age in place with a timeless and functional design. ADA compliant should incorporate features that aid in your day-to-day life without sacrificing visual aesthetic.

The sheer height of the Master Bath with the ship lap Ceiling in Sky Blue gives the room a very nautical look. We repeated the octagonal look of the ceiling on the floor using ceramic weathered plank flooring.

In this century home we opened up the space and moved the toilet area to create a larger tiled shower. The vanity installed is Waypoint LivingSpaces 650F Cherry Java with a toilet topper cabinet. The countertop, shower curb and shower seat is Eternia Quartz in Edmonton color. A Kohler Fairfax collection in oil rubbed bronze includes the faucet, towel bar, towel holder, toilet paper holder, and grab bars. The toilet is Kohler Cimmarron comfort height in white. In the shower, the floor and partial shower tile is 12x12 Slaty, multi-color. On the floor is Slaty 2x2 mosaic multi-color tile. And on the partial walls is 3x12 vintage subway tile.
