Mark Brand ArchitectureWe designed this bathroom makeover for an episode of Bath Crashers on DIY. This is how they described the project: "A dreary gray bathroom gets a 180-degree transformation when Matt and his crew crash San Francisco. The space becomes a personal spa with an infinity tub that has a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Marble floors and a marble shower kick up the luxury factor, and a walnut-plank wall adds richness to warm the space. To top off this makeover, the Bath Crashers team installs a 10-foot onyx countertop that glows at the flip of a switch." This was a lot of fun to participate in. Note the ceiling mounted tub filler. Back lit onyx countertop makes a warm statement and the mirrored wall helps to open up the space and bounce light around while it reflects a back lit onyx feature detail that is placed behind the toilet. Rich metallic rust walls play up the rust highlights within the onyx giving this room plenty of drama.
AVID Associates LLCAn exquisite example of French design and decoration, this powder bath features luxurious materials of white onyx countertops and floors, with accents of Rossa Verona marble imported from Italy that mimic the tones in the coral colored wall covering. A niche was created for the bombe chest with paneling where antique leaded mirror inserts make this small space feel expansive. An antique mirror, sconces, and crystal chandelier add glittering light to the space.
