The mix of washed and lacquered finishes here is one of my favorite parts of this space. The white, clean-finished lacquer dresser is toped with a vintage paint-by-number oil painting in it's original frame, that, along with the distressed navy and gold mirror, perfectly offset the cleaner elements of the room to bring the warmth and character needed to give an accessibly chic feel to this timelessly beautiful, beachy space.

This three-story Westhampton Beach home designed for family get-togethers features a large entry and open-plan kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen was gut-renovated to merge seamlessly with the living room. For worry-free entertaining and clean-up, we used lots of performance fabrics and refinished the existing hardwood floors with a custom greige stain. A palette of blues, creams, and grays, with a touch of yellow, is complemented by natural materials like wicker and wood. Nearby is a private sitting room and a 14 by 15-foot master bedroom with built-ins and a spa-style double-sink bath with a beautiful barrel-vaulted ceiling.
