This relaxing suite is the perfect getaway after a long day at the beach. The white bed is soft and luxurious, while the mosquito net covering over the canopy bed creates privacy and the cozy feeling of being in your own tropical nest. We used deep blues for the throw pillows and ebony furniture to add contrast without interrupting the zen design. The natural finishes used throughout the house are continued in this room and seen in the teak sliding glass doors, woven blinds, and natural log lamps. The beach aesthetic is also carried into this bedroom with the use of sea shells, a woven sea urchin candle holder, and woven baskets.

If visitors to Robyn and Allan Webb’s one-bedroom Miami apartment expect the typical all-white Miami aesthetic, they’ll be pleasantly surprised upon stepping inside. There, bold theatrical colors, like a black textured wallcovering and bright teal sofa, mix with funky patterns,
such as a black-and-white striped chair, to create a space that exudes charm. In fact, it’s the wife’s style that initially inspired the design for the home on the 20th floor of a Brickell Key high-rise. “As soon as I saw her with a green leather jacket draped across her shoulders, I knew we would be doing something chic that was nothing like the typical all- white modern Miami aesthetic,” says designer Maite Granda of Robyn’s ensemble the first time they met. The Webbs, who often vacation in Paris, also had a clear vision for their new Miami digs: They wanted it to exude their own modern interpretation of French decor.
“We wanted a home that was luxurious and beautiful,”
says Robyn, noting they were downsizing from a four-story residence in Alexandria, Virginia. “But it also had to be functional.”

This bunk bed room was designed for families visiting this oceanfront retreat in Key West, FL. We wanted to provide a space for both adults and children to co-exist since larger gatherings tend to take place at this home. We wanted to keep it airy, coastal, and warm so we mixed a cool and warm color palette to make the space feel charming, cozy, and oh-so-chic!

It is the small details, which make a space unique.

The original house was demolished to make way for a two-story house on the sloping lot, with an accessory dwelling unit below. The upper level of the house, at street level, has three bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. The “great room” opens onto an ocean-view deck through two large pocket doors. The master bedroom can look through the living room to the same view. The owners, acting as their own interior designers, incorporated lots of color with wallpaper accent walls in each bedroom, and brilliant tiles in the bathrooms, kitchen, and at the fireplace tiles.

This spacious master suite was inspired by the design of a Balinese villa. It's indoor-outdoor design was created by incorporating pocketing glass doors along two walls so that a whole corner of the room opens up to the back lawn. The vaulted ceiling connects the master bath, while a slat wall frames the closet and creates a feature wall for the master bed. The walls are white, the floors are gray porcelain, the slat wall and custom nightstands are teak, while the four poster bed is draped in mosquito netting and piled high with white bedding. The rug is jute. The blue-green accents were inspired by the custom throw pillows on the bed and the landscape painting by local artist Pepe depicting traditional canoes along the shoreline.
