This modern landscape demonstrates water wise techniques that highlight the use of pebbles, mulch, and drought tolerant plant material in a garden's front entry. Using one mature cactus from the existing site, we created a focal point in the middle of a gravel bed and anchored it with boulders.

This property was covered with pink rock when our client called us. In an effort to be gentle on the environment, and to save money, the client took our suggestion to work with what they had by incorporating more contrasting rock to bring the property together in a cohesive design. The clients are active birders and wanted to grow their own food including vegetables and fruits. We worked with interior designer, Nikki Klugh, to select gorgeous furniture to compliment the design.

Artificial turf installation can go a long way to prevent a back yard from becoming bland, as is the case in this East Meza, AZ home. Adding more pavers to this area could have resulted in the area appearing too harsh. One thing that is almost guaranteed to remind you of the harsh Arizona climate is too many rocks and gravel. In this case, the installation of artificial turf has created a splash of color and a sense of coolness. The shrubs, with their yellow flowers, also add a splash of color and will add some shade to the area once they have reached maturity.
