Copper Shingles, Burlingame, CA

Traditional Exterior, San Francisco

This home of a prominent designer on the San Francisco peninsula was a challenge because they had decided they wanted the permanence and distinction of a copper roof, but they also wanted it to blend with the architecture and not appear "shiny and new." They also wanted it to create a rustic look and what they were hoping to find were re-claimed copper roofing. Since re-claimed copper roofing is more rare than a unicorn, they came to MRN to create that look with new material - and we did. Mixing new copper shingles with new "pre-aged" shingles of various stages of "distress," we were able to achieve that elusive goal: creating a new copper roof that appeared to be crafted from a mix of old and new shingles. It worked beautifully.
