We added a 10 foot addition to their home, so they could have a large gourmet kitchen. We also did custom builtins in the living room and mudroom room. Custom inset cabinets from Laurier with a white perimeter and Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog cabinets. Custom shiplap ceiling. And a custom walk-in pantry

This French country-inspired kitchen shows off a mixture of natural materials like marble and alder wood. The cabinetry from Grabill Cabinets was thoughtfully designed to look like furniture. The island, dining table, and bar work table allow for enjoying good food and company throughout the space. The large metal range hood from Raw Urth stands sentinel over the professional range, creating a contrasting focal point in the design. Cabinetry that stretches from floor to ceiling eliminates the look of floating upper cabinets while providing ample storage space.

Cabinets Duo In The Kitchen
Rustic Alder Cabinets in dreamy deep tones. With a little spice added distinguish the island. Next, bright and cheerful Rustic Cherry Cabinets line the perimeter. Walking into this clients L-shaped kitchen is stunning. Clients first priority is to enlarge the kitchen. With the removal of walls a large spacious kitchen. This client’s kitchen is bright and welcoming.

Classic elegance with a fresh face characterizes this stunner, adorned in Benjamin Moore’s pale green “Vale Mist”. For a serene, cohesive look, the beadboard and casings are painted to match. Counters and backsplashes are subtly-veined Himalayan Marble. Flat panel inset cabinetry was enhanced with a delicate ogee profile and graceful bracket feet. Oak floors were artfully stenciled to form a diamond pattern with intersecting dots. Brushed brass fixtures and hardware lend old-world appeal with a stylish flourish. Balancing the formality are casual rattan bistro stools and dining chairs. A metal-rimmed glass tabletop allows full view of the curvaceous walnut pedestal.
Tucked into the narrow end of the kitchen is a cozy desk. Its walnut top warms the space, while mullion glass doors contribute openness. Preventing claustrophobia is a frosted wheel-style oculus window to boost light and depth.
A bold statement is made for the small hutch, where a neutral animal print wallpaper is paired with Benjamin Moore’s ruby-red semi-gloss “My Valentine” paint on cabinetry and trim. Glass doors display serving pieces. Juxtaposed against the saturated hue is the pop of a white marble counter and contemporary acrylic handles. What could have been a drab niche is now a jewel box!

123 Remodeling Inc.
123 Remodeling crew and our in-house interior designer Jenna Rose completely renovated this large kitchen in Skokie, Illinois. Our team created a fresh and modern space to cook and gather with family and friends over a large dining table.
We started with structural changes and demolished a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining area to create an open concept. Then we built a massive Carrera marble quartz island that is as functional as luxurious looking with a built-in wine cooler, dishwasher, and microwave. Three stylish pendant lights and a dozen of recessed can lights make the room feel larger and brighter. We opted-in for a counter-depth stainless sub-zero refrigerator and encased it with a custom-made cabinet extension.
While white is traditional and the most popular color for kitchens, it's easy for such a room to look stark and cold. So our designer mixed glossy white cabinets with gray backsplash tiles and white-gray countertops. We also intermixed it with the natural oak shelves and plant decor to add warm contrasting elements.
The open kitchen concept looks good only if all parts of the space are visually appealing - that's why we remodeled the fireplace, refinished the chimney, and enclosed it in concrete.

Under cabinet lighting, power and charging, all up high for a clean backsplash. TV nook tucked in the corner. Soft grey cabinets, soapstone c-tops, and a marble backsplash. The apron front sink has a farmhouse feel but the appliances are all modern.

Two-Toned Cabinets
This trend has been going strong for the last couple of years and this year its more prevalent than ever. Two-toned cabinets are a great design feature that helps add some variety to your kitchen space. You will typically see the bottom cabinets have the darker color. Blues and grays are common, buyer-friendly choices. We also have seen wood-grained cabinets on the bottom with white cabinets on top.
