- My partner has a 1970's house, vaulted ceilings and lots of angles. Narrow architraves and plain doors. Faded mission brown aluminium sliding doors and natural clear stained cedar window frames (which are now ugly yellow/orange). He can't replace the aluminium doors so he was thinking of painting the archs around those black to make the mission brown disappear. The rest of the archs and doors would be painted white with Natural white walls. However, there is one series of 'hero' windows with spectacular forest views. Do we paint those window frames black too? I loved to do what you did here but these are very narrow 1970's architrave around the window, so I think it would be too hard to do the black/white combo as you have here. Might have to be all black instead? Thoughts or suggestions welcomed.
