Winner of the 2017 HIA Home of the Year Award This house in City Beach has been designed to take advantage of, and reflect the beachside context. Designed as a casual beachside house with space to entertain and for children to play. This L-Shaped plan was designed with a freestanding pool house forming a large north facing courtyard to take advantage of the winter sun. This three level house was designed with the main living area on the ground floor level opening up to a double volume loggia and large swimming pool and garden. Large double glazed sliding doors to the main living areas open completely to transform the entire house into a verandah. The upper level contains the main bedroom, large dressing room, ensuite, study, secondary living space with kitchenette and a terrace overlooking the ocean. Photography by Andrew Pritchard Photography
