Our client purchased this home and knew he wanted a wine cellar incorporated into the space, but didn't just want a small wall style. He knew he would never use the existing dining room, so this was the space selected for the transformation. Lots of planning and details went into the process to make sure the mechanicals would support the temperature control, and also to blend the old world Italian heritage into a traditional home setting. We nailed it on giving him a unique look, with high end custom finishes noticed at every angle. This room remodel is very much enjoyed on a daily basis.

This beautiful wine cellar is created in Allheart Redwood with a dark walnut stain and is custom fit for the arching stone walls. Shown here is individual racking with large vertical display cabinet. With a high reveal display to show off the wine labels, there is solid diamond bins below. A red oak ladder is attached that goes to the ceiling and is stained dark walnut. A tabletop in the middle has a custom waterfall rack with a tabletop above. Gracing the entire thing is a beautiful chandelier along with LED lights in the high reveal.

Custom made wine cellar handcrafted by Superior Woodcraft. This wine cellar is crafted from sapele wood, which received a no-voc hand wiped stain. Travertine floors grace this climate controlled area. Insulated french doors help to insure proper climate control.

An Edwardian house of substantial proportions in one of the prime roads in South west London (close to Clapham common), which needed a new lease of life and generally updating for modern family life. Our scheme not only involved the complete re- working of the house but by adding a full basement going right under the whole property and out into the rear garden. The great thing about this basement is generous ceiling height (2.7m), the fact that it is so spacious and light … and as a result does not feel like a basement at all. We also chose to connect the new basement areas with the main living room via a stylish staircase which acts not only as vertical link, but also as a striking design feature in it’s own right. A traditional wine cellar built in the basement storage area. High volume storage with a touch of display was the focus of the room. This beautifully rustic and modern custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California is inside one of your favorite A-List Celebrity's home. The design of the cellar was centered around a large amount of bottle storage with minimal wine displays. This unique space also has room for wine case storage, as well as horizontal display on top of high reveal display. Prior to proper vapor barrier and insulation being installed into the room, this space was a simple basement storage area. The entire room was gutted, and stripped down to the studs. A 6mm plastic was placed covering every wall and crevice to ensure that the room would be sealed completely. Spray foam insulation was applied three inches thick around, followed by green board mold resistant drywall. The racking is made of all heart redwood - a fantastic choice for a custom wine room such as this. Redwood is great to use because of its ability to resist rot and mold, as well as looking great (or even better) as the wood cures over time. The large wine cellar has room for unique large format bottles, as well as special champagne bottle display. It was a pleasure working on this project - the owner is a great guy (and host too) and we look forward to working together again.
