Our client wanted a colorful Mediterranean garden with plants that, at maturity, grew to under 3 feet tall. To save some money, she decided to order one gallon sized plants and wait for them to grow-in.
In a year or so, there will be very little space between the plants.
Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.
Our client contracted us to design and build a functional and interesting water front project that had to be family friendly!! They wanted a cozy fire pit area that also contained a 3 piece natural rock bubbler. They also wanted a spa area with lounger space for sunbathing as well as a beach area for sandcastles and beach toy storage. No expense was spared with a custom pergola, natural rock retaining and steps as well as landscape lighting and well placed trees and shrubs. Concrete edge and aggregate beds make for a low maintenance dream yard!!

We just finished this beautiful flagstone pad and path, for the flagstone we used the Variegated Bluestone from Smith Rock.
Our customers main problem with their yard was their chickens tearing it apart, we didn’t have too many options for a solution due to huge Sweet Gum roots spanning the length of their yard. We worked around them and got it done! The infill we used here was 3/4-1.5 river rock to minimize the migration due to chickens.

This early-phase Japanese-inspired garden draws from the Buddhist, Shinto, and Taoist philosophies and combines the basic elements of plants, water, and rocks along with simple, clean lines to create a tranquil backyard retreat. Plant material used includes Japanese varieties of trees, shrubs and perennials woven together to create interest throughout each season.

Art Garden Design
When we took on this project, the property was completely overgrown and in need of a serious facelift. The owner loved original architecture of the home and the original brick work of house. The challenge was to make the landscape functional and safe while keeping the original charm in tact. These photos only show a glimpse of the work that took place over 8 months: construction of new retaining walls, pathways, driveways, entrance walk ways, stairs, landings, and the plants. Each hardscape element you see in the photos is newly constructed, 95 percent of the original brick was repurposed to lay patios, reconstruct walls, and new tiles and wood was incorporated. The restoration craft is to make the landscape appear timeless, in tact for 100 years.
