Took a wine barrel and cut it in half longitudinally (after attaching and cutting through the barrel bands). After cutting out of the front, I used those stave to make the "shelves" within. Finished by putting on a back panel, and you have a nice 20-bottle rack that fits snugly against a wall.
The Designers
This space was hidden beneath the stairs and redesigned as a wine cellar complete with lighting, a cooler, and a wrought iron lockable gate that compliments the new stair railing nicely.

Vintage Cellars
Wine cellar with insulated glass front and door
This show stopping, glass enclosed custom wine cellar design, created by Vintage Cellars of San Diego, California, truly proves that any space within a home can be converted into a fantastic, usable wine storage space. Wine Rooms such as this often require an oversized wine storage cooling unit or cooling system due to the large glass wall. Glass, unless dual paned, is notorious for heat and humidity transfers.
Making certain that the wine cellar is fully enclosed, fully encapsulated, fully sealed on every surface is essential. Proper Vapor Barrier and Insulation in the skeleton of the wine cellar is going to ensure the best cooling, humidity, and wine storing capabilities. Additionally, improper room set up may result in mold and mildew.
This small wine cellar really embraces the "showpiece" aspect custom wine rooms often have. In addition to providing double deep individual racking, the wine closet design also uses diamond bins and double deep, quarter round display cabinet, and a magnificent custom stained and etched European style wine cabinet.
Spaces with a walk in wine cellar design and countertop space offer a unique space to socialize with friends and family around some fantastic bottles of wine.

A custom wine nook outside the kitchen makes use of an unused space on at the end of a corridor. The interior of this custom home is done in a palette of off whites, cremes, natural woods and soft lighting. The clean trim and clean lines of the wide plank wood flooring give the home a modern country feel. The sophisticated ceilings and wainscots add to the design richness of the home.
