This gorgeous, contemporary wine cellar makes its home in a basement in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. This Wine cellar was a very special collaborative project undertaken with the homeowner. It is always an incredible pleasure to assist in turning a wine cellar dream into a reality. The Homeowner's vision was to create this entire underground space from scratch. A stunning wooden grille covers the cooling unit face inside the contemporary wine cellar. The Modern feel and design of this wine room, heightened by a very clean, contemporary room feel itself, metal 'Contempo' wine racking, and straight lines throughout, is becoming more popular in chic homes throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, and San Diego Counties alike. Upon walking down the staircase into the modern wine cellar, a backlit horizontal display wall greets you with wines more suitable for drinking now. This space is not temperature and humidity controlled. Walk a few more feet down the staircase, however, and feast your eyes on this beautiful, contemporary showpiece wine cellar. The custom wine cellar design incorporates a mixture of wooden, metal, and glass features with backlit wine showcasing walls, roll out shelving, individual bottle storage, high reveal angled bottle display, wine case storage space, diamond bins, and even a cigar humidor. The sleek design of the metal wine racking enables the homeowner to match the contemporary house design with their newly installed wine cellar. The cork forward design section presents a library style wall where the wines can be easily categorized and organized. Additionally, the beautiful beige marble countertops and tabletop centered in the room lend a fantastic spots to decant wine, set out a cheese and charcuterie plate and invite some friends over for a great night together. This gorgeous contemporary glass front custom wine cellar in Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, California is an eye catcher. The sleek, glass ultra modern wine room was a unique and exciting project for our team here at Vintage Cellars. The stone bar extends into the wine cellar itself, but due to mechanical, cooling, and condensation concerns, our expert custom wine cellar team knew that extra measures needed to be taken to ensure the end quality remained top notch. The bar itself was divided into two sections, one cut section outside to make up the main seating area and the other inside the glass wine room. The stone bar, which is porous, takes up a good portion of the front facing glass panel. Had the bar simply extended into the wine cellar and been sealed off at the joints, the stone would have eventually transferred in enough heat and moisture to cause condensation. Proper wine cellar design and planning enabled this wine cellar to not only look fantastic, but function perfectly as well. One interesting unique feature in this Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, Orange County, California glass and metal wine cellar is an extension of floor to ceiling frames mounted to the backside of the stone bar. This feature was made to seamlessly show consistency in floor to ceiling vintageview frames throughout. Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Coast, Ladera Ranch, Coto De Caza, Laguna Hills, San Clemente, Dana Point, Seal Beach, Laguna Niguel still remain the areas in Orange County that we build wine cellars most often. Working closely with David Close Homes, Vintage Cellars was able to meet with the client and team involved, determine the ultimate wine cellar wine room wine closet goals, and see them to the finish. Upon walking into this glass and metal modern contemporary wine cellar, you become quickly surrounded with triple deep bottles from many of the world’s best wineries. On the left below the countertop is a black stained poplar wine racking system for single 750ml bottles. Above lies room for display case storage, room for large format bottles, and label forward vintageview design racking to the ceiling. On the middle wall of this wine room is room for case storage below, similarly with triple deep vintageview floor to ceiling frames dying into more case storage above. On the right side of this wall lies a vertical space for single large format case storage. The award-winning Jack’s Point is our new display home at the HomeQuest Village in Bella Vista. At the 2023 HIA awards, Horizon Homes won both Display Home of the Year, and Best Display Home in its category - Display Homes over $1m. When we built this home, we wanted a design that would be contemporary, but still fit comfortably in the traditional style streetscapes of the suburbs that we typically build in – the North Shore, Northern Beaches and Canada Bay areas. The natural finishes of timber, stone and metal gives this home an organic look and feel. The façade design and finishes provide the beautiful mix of material choices. Modern brickwork meshes with charred hardwood timber cladding, castellated style garage door, and a first-floor natural garden bed. Natural American Oak timber flooring leads from the entry lead to the lounge, which features an impressive yet functional wall-hung fireplace with an exposed metal flue. The staircase provides a wonderful aesthetic but also acts to create distinct spaces in an otherwise open space. It is constructed from American Oak treads, steel and glass and allows natural light through to the living areas. Large format porcelain tiles provide a seamless finish to the remaining living areas and carry through to the alfresco kitchen and dining area. The kitchen and pantry provide beautifully finished modern workspaces with the mix of marble / granite and Corian finishes. The marble fluting on the island ends elevates the benchtop from the purely practical, to an elegant design feature. As with all Horizon Homes builds, the alfresco area was important. It has been designed to enhance natural light in the home, as well as providing flexible living spaces. The upper floor comprises of four bedrooms, main bathrooms, two ensuites and a private lounge space adjacent to the master bedroom. This overlooks the rooftop garden bed. The feature panelling to all bedrooms and hallway that so caught the judges’ attention provide this home with the warm cosy feel.
