Salt Interiors
Salt Interiors custom joinery was featured in the August issue of House & Garden Magazine. For this project, Salt Interiors worked with Senior Interior Designer for Coco Republic, Natasha Levak to provide custom joinery for the 1930s Spanish-revival home. Levak’s vision for a neutral palette helped to determine the polyurethane paint for the renovated joinery unit Salt installed in the room.

This room got such a dramatic transformation! The previous owner had brought it into the late 80's/early 90's, though the home was 100 years old. I wanted to bring some of that old charm back into the place. We added the newel post, railing, discovered original hardwoods and refinished the flooring and stairs, and my favorite piece was the very heavy marble fireplace surround. I found it on Craigslist for 800$. It was my first purchase for this home and was the inspiration piece for the rest of the house!
This photo crops out the other sofa and room divider with columns that separate the living room from the dining room. To see the room in entirety (or the entire home) feel free to look at my project titled " Minneapolis Home."

Kraft Custom Construction
Built from the ground up on 80 acres outside Dallas, Oregon, this new modern ranch house is a balanced blend of natural and industrial elements. The custom home beautifully combines various materials, unique lines and angles, and attractive finishes throughout. The property owners wanted to create a living space with a strong indoor-outdoor connection. We integrated built-in sky lights, floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings to attract ample, natural lighting. The master bathroom is spacious and features an open shower room with soaking tub and natural pebble tiling. There is custom-built cabinetry throughout the home, including extensive closet space, library shelving, and floating side tables in the master bedroom. The home flows easily from one room to the next and features a covered walkway between the garage and house. One of our favorite features in the home is the two-sided fireplace – one side facing the living room and the other facing the outdoor space. In addition to the fireplace, the homeowners can enjoy an outdoor living space including a seating area, in-ground fire pit and soaking tub.

The sectional sofa takes center stage in this open living space. The designer created a comfortable, fun and eclectic seating area giving ample space to gather with friends and family.
A startling accent over arches the sofa. The silver arc lamp introduces another architectural dimension into the space, accentuating the grandeur of the space.
Concealed within the continuity of the dining room, the office space showcases an opaque glass desk and white leather office chair.

Four swivel chairs in petit, hand-blocked print are situated around a reclaimed iron and wood coffee table. Root stools serve as drink tables between the chairs. A turquoise sofa completes the seating. Being an island home, the seagrass rug adds the casual tone to the over design. The barstools were selected to add to the overall design of the living room. Their style, finish and zebra upholstery work with the overall room. They are part of the living room more than they are part of the kitchen.

Custom furniture, paintings and iron screens elevate the room when combined with the visual interest of
geometric patterned light fixtures and horizontal striped curtains in a variation of colors. Beautiful espresso walnut hardwood flooring was installed, and we finished with a coffee table complete with spoke detailing. For the full tour, visit us at Robeson Design

A love affair with the ocean and coastal get-aways inspired the makeover of this breezy and inviting hearth room. Creating a dramatic focal point, the fireplace was custom-built with a stacked stone surround, stone corbels, and flush limestone hearth and is flanked by built-in cabinets topped with matching limestone. Covered in off-white indoor-outdoor fabric, the matching side chairs invite conversation with those seated on the curvaceous green sofa featuring turquoise blue welt. The industrial cart as coffee table is a punch of surprise while also adding to the easy-breezy nature of the room. Additional blue accents appear on the Chinese garden stool and the framed tropical-themed painting behind the sofa. Driftwood lamps with transitional shades and a unique sand-colored pebble-textured area rug further speak to the coastal inspiration of the room's decor,

Lacking a proper entry wasn't an issue in this small living space, with the makeshift coat rack for hats scarves and bags, and a tray filled with small river stones for shoes and boots. Wainscoting along the same wall to bring some subtle contrast and a catchall cabinet to hold keys and outgoing mail.
