The white painted perimeter cabinets with glass fronts are reminiscent of what one would find “back in the day”.
The large, dark stained island boasts a second sink and seating for casual dining and conversation. The island has a Caesarstone countertop, which gives the look of Carrera marble but is far more durable. The butcher block counter at the end of the island has an abundance of lighting for prep work and houses the prep sink. The contrast in heights, colors and textures of these two countertops provides a nice visual break for this long island while balancing the sleek look of the Caesarstone with the warmth and charm of natural wood.
TVLiftCabinet, Inc
TVLIFTCABINET, Inc was established in 2003. Before that, they already had 25 years of experience in designing and manufacturing furniture. Our focus now is on building innovative pop-up TV lift systems, with traditional wood craftsmanship and design. We design and manufacture every element that goes into the consoles, including the TV lift systems and the infrared relays. It is by controlling the design and manufacture of every element that we can be certain of the quality of each console they ship.
Because we control all aspects of the creation of our TV Lift consoles, and sell direct to you, our customer, we are also able to offer substantially lower prices than you would find in any traditional furniture store or even nation-wide chain. In fact, our prices are typically half what you would expect to pay for comparable quality elsewhere.
All of our products are made with the best of materials and the finest finishes: quality wood stock from pine to oak, cherry and mahogany. Over 20 in-house inspectors then assure that our exacting standards are met throughout the entire TV lift system design, production and packaging process. In addition, we then offer free shipping and a White Glove placement service that ensures your console is installed exactly where you want it, hassle-free.
Our commitment is to provide you with TV lift consoles of the very highest quality and reliability, with unmatched service, and for the very best price. If they ever fall short of that goal, please let us know.

This kitchen received a major "face lift" by painting the existing dark cabinets this light gray and adding some new additions as well. The built in desk area became a beverage center with sub-zero refrigerator built in and glass upper cabinets added. The double ovens were replaced with a steam and convection oven and the slide in range and upper cabinets were replaced with a stainless hood and pull out bottom drawers. Pull out trash cabinet and pan cabinet were added as well as a custom built television frame to mount the tv above the refrigerator and also hide away items not used as often,
Calcutta gold quartz replaced the old black granite and subway tile replaced the slate back splash. Glass pendants were added over the peninsula and the counter-top was all lowered to counter level. A new paneled curved bar back was added to the peninsula.

Full Potential
Once ridiculed as “antipasto on the Potomac,” the Watergate complex designed by Italian architect Luigi Moretti has become one of Washington’s most respectable addresses. But its curvaceous 1960s architecture still poses design challenges for residents seeking to transform their outdated apartments for contemporary living.
Inside, the living area now extends from the terrace door to the kitchen and an adjoining nook for watching TV. The rear wall of the kitchen isn’t tiled or painted, but covered in boards made of recycled wood fiber, fly ash and cement. A row of fir cabinets stands out against the gray panels and white-lacquered drawers under the Corian countertops add more contrast. “I now enjoy cooking so much more,” says the homeowner. “The previous kitchen had very little counter space and storage, and very little connection to the rest of the apartment.”
“A neutral color scheme allows sculptural objects, in this case iconic furniture, and artwork to stand out,” says Santalla. “An element of contrast, such as a tone or a texture, adds richness to the palette.”
In the master bedroom, Santalla designed the bed frame with attached nightstands and upholstered the adjacent wall to create an oversized headboard. He created a television stand on the adjacent wall that allows the screen to swivel so it can be viewed from the bed or terrace.
Of all the renovation challenges facing the couple, one of the most problematic was deciding what to do with the original parquet floors in the living space. Santalla came up with the idea of staining the existing wood and extending the same dark tone to the terrace floor.
“Now the indoor and outdoor parts of the apartment are integrated to create an almost seamless space,” says the homeowner. “The design succeeds in realizing the promise of what the Watergate can be.”

TV Lift Cabinet by Cabinet Tronix
Beautiful setting for a transitional TV lift cabinet at the foot of the bed. The question first is, Do we want a TV in the bedroom? If yes, secondly question is, Where do we put the TV?
Most put the TV on the wall, of course. Directly at the foot of bed, center of the bedroom or against the wall positioning for a TV lift furniture piece will of course depend on your style, furniture arrangement needs, TV size, components, power placement and of space available. A lot to consider for anyone that has not worked on a TV lift furniture project before.
