Oopsy Daisy, Fine Art for Kids
Oopsy Daisy A big girl's room doesn't have to be all business! Dress up classic furniture in fresh colors like cream and pale pink to grow with your girl through childhood. Find artwork that your girl finds engaging and full of her favorite colors. Jill McDonald's fairy triptych wall art for kids has a vibrant color palette to keep accessorizing simple. We pulled pinks and yellows from "Morning Fairies", "Afternoon Fairies", and "Nighttime Fairies", the "Fairy Friends" clock set, and the matching lamp shade to keep the room full of fresh, girly color. Similar shades of pink keep the look from being too matchy, and the yellow adds a bright sophistication. Bring in fun accessories that can be pulled from the art, like these cute birdhouses.

The layout of this bathroom was reconfigured by locating the new tub on the rear wall, and putting the toilet on the left of the vanity.
The wall on the left of the existing vanity was taken out.
Lane Williams Architects
We began with a structurally sound 1950’s home. The owners sought to capture views of mountains and lake with a new second story, along with a complete rethinking of the plan.
Basement walls and three fireplaces were saved, along with the main floor deck. The new second story provides a master suite, and professional home office for him. A small office for her is on the main floor, near three children’s bedrooms. The oldest daughter is in college; her room also functions as a guest bedroom.
A second guest room, plus another bath, is in the lower level, along with a media/playroom and an exercise room. The original carport is down there, too, and just inside there is room for the family to remove shoes, hang up coats, and drop their stuff.
The focal point of the home is the flowing living/dining/family/kitchen/terrace area. The living room may be separated via a large rolling door. Pocketing, sliding glass doors open the family and dining area to the terrace, with the original outdoor fireplace/barbeque. When slid into adjacent wall pockets, the combined opening is 28 feet wide.

Custom built-in bookcases were designed to surround the fireplace in this library, home office. The bottom of the cabinetry houses units to an updated sound system. The desk is hand painted and is placed between the fireplace and the french doors which overlook the backyard. An antique Sarapi Heriz carpet is made from camel hair. The sofa and tables were purchased through Interiors By Design, NJ.

Pangaea Interior Design, Portland, OR
This former wood fireplace surround was remodeled with this nearly floor to ceiling custom concrete fireplace. The custom glass art panels were designed by Pangaea, who commissioned Ray Ahlgren of Fireart Glass to make them. Each glass panel is 30" wide by 54" tall by 1.5" thick and weighs 220 lbs. A custom designed steel holder was embedded in the wall so the art work would "float" about 8 inches from the wall allowing light to pass through from behind.
