Pippy oak boards contain frequent small knots and knot clusters which pepper the board. Often referred to as ‘cat’s paw’ oak, as it appears as if a cat has stepped in a pot of ink and walked across the board. This grade of engineered oak flooring is supplied unfinished with a micro bevelled edge. Leaving the boards unfinished allows for installation of the entire floor prior to applying the final finish. A simple natural oil really brings out the beauty of this fabulous grade of timber flooring.
