The Vermont Street Project
Contemporary Family Room, New York
This studio in Portland, Oregon houses our West Coast operations team. The space is abundant with reclaimed
wood from our sister company Pioneer Millworks. Plank flooring, a walnut slab table, industrial salvaged timber frame, built-in cabinetry, and the softwoods tongue-and-groove ceiling, all come with past lives in agriculture or industry. The post-modernist design suggests timber work in a different genre, balancing classic shed lines, a living roof, and rugged tactile finishing elements. Designed as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU), the space is office, showroom, wood shop, and even guest quarters.
