Venado House

Contemporary Exterior

Venado House (2006) Project, Works Management and Construction Location El Venado Country Club, Esteban Echeverría, Buenos Aires, Argentina Total Area 375 m² Photo Alejandro Mosher The lot where the house is located has wide views of the golf courses of the surrounding neighborhood. Therefore, the house has been laid out opening completely to such landscape from simple overlapping and attached volumes. The house was devised for a very numerous family and its layout is a reflection of the response to those needs. Access is gained from a large glass hall that includes the staircase with a metal structure and embedded steps, accompanying a large stone wall that starts on the front façade, from the parking spaces. After crossing the hall, access is gained to a big dining room/sitting room that is completely open towards the garden and the pool. This area is integrated into the kitchen and the family room in order to create a social area for the whole family. The service area, located after the garages, is made up of a big laundry and pantry, a bedroom with bathroom and a storage room. On the upper floor, there is the master suite, integrated into its bathroom and walk-in closet by means of hanging wooden doors with stainless steel bearings in sight, designed exclusively by its owner. It is completed by the children’s bedrooms and their bathrooms. Simple materials were used for the interior finishes, with low maintenance and great resistance, adapted to an intensive family use. The ceilings were designed mostly in exposed concrete, the floors with Porcelanato tiles and wood and the walls plastered or covered in stone.
