Hollywood Hills residence. Everett Fenton photography Greige is very happening in color schemes right now. It is such a versatile color to work with. I must admit that grey has not always been at the top of my color choices, I’ve been more of a taupe girl for a neutral choice, but not anymore. I recently had a wonderful client that loved grey and surrounding herself with quiet color, she’s young and hip but didn’t want anything too contemporary. I usually regard mixing grey with traditional styles to feel a little stuffy. My challenge was to create an environment that was tranquil but had an edge to it. Greige, in all of its wonderful variations, was worked into every room with pops of color here and there. I have such an appreciation for its chameleon ability, warm or cool, bright or dark- it just works well. Although grandma might like this, she certainly doesn’t live here.
