A homeowner in Texas contacted Wine Cellar Specialists to transform a space under the stairs into a traditional home wine cellar. Knotty Alder was used for the wine racks.The tabletop on the left wall was made from reclaimed wine barrel.

This photo shows the double wine cellar doors designed and installed by Wine Cellar Specialists. It was constructed from Knotty Alder and applied with an Early American stain. They added an intricate iron design to add character to the doors.
US Cellar Systems supplied the wine cooling unit for this home renovation project. The evaporator was concealed in a wooden grill cover and box while the condenser was placed in the garage.

The bar was closed off and felt very dated. By removing the wall and sticking with a soft gray, cream and pops of gold dramatically improved the space.

When you enter the wine room door, the left wall consists of a half height tabletop with single storage and a solid X bin at the bottom. The tabletop was made of reclaimed wine barrel.
The evaporator of the wine cooling system was installed above the tabletop. It was hidden in a wooden grill and box constructed from Knotty Alder.

This is the wine cellar cooling system we used on this home wine cellar project in Dallas. It is an HS4600 ducted split system, which does not require an adjoining room for venting heat.
The condenser was placed outdoors, creating a quiet operation.

The door is one of the most important components in building a wine cellar. It must be constructed from a commercial grade material and installed by an expert. On this project, Wine Cellar Specialists installed a glass door with iron frame. The glass panels are dual-paned to help achieve the optimum conditions required for the aging of wine.
Another important component in wine room construction is the climate-control system. Wine Cellar Specialists used the S4600 ducted split wine cellar cooling system by US Cellar Systems.

The three solid bins were intended for storing wooden cases.
