MA Peterson Design Build, Inc.
The homeowners wanted a hidden wine cellar to house their extensive collection of wines, and allow the homeowners to reminisce of European getaways.
The face of the granite has a rough rock pitch edge, giving it an authentic cellar look. Cork flooring was chosen to complement the cork of the wine bottles, and niches, finished with limestone ledges, were built and lined with wine boxes from shipments of wine from around the world. Trademark Wood Products built custom mahogany racking for the wine collection. The combination of the limestone, cork floors and granite tops with subtle maroon and gold specks are combined to recreate a beautiful vacation spot close to their hearts.

Irons Brothers Construction Inc
During construction, our client notified us of a water leak in their wine cellar (they thought had been caused by our work). After investigation, it was found to be ground-water intrusion. This space was a crawl-space – the prior builder had moved dirt to create it, without addressing the water level or drainage. The home’s post and beam construction, along with non-treated lumber was found buried in the un-removed dirt (this eventually could lead to a major failure). To remedy the dirt was excavated, a new concrete footing installed, and sump pump system and water sensors were installed to address future drainage. The expansive wine collection was saved, and no bottles were harmed during construction.

Nashville Wine Cellars LLC
After our initial consultation with this Nashville client, we provided several pages of 2-d and 3-d wine cellar cad drawings. They then choose from the samples we provided, a brushed alluminum metal store front with matching metal wall mounted wine racks. There are several hundred bottles of 700 millimeter wine bottles on triple deep wine racks. There is also 150 bottles of magnum bottles on two deep wine racks. A wine bottle display row is featured about half way up. This fully refrigerated wine cellar is 14 feet long x 30 inches deep x 84 inches high. We installed a smart thermostat that the customer can read remotely via their smart phone.
